One of the largest adaptive ski and snowboard programs in the country, Courage Kenny Ski and Snowboard provides more than 800 lessons per year at seven sites across Minnesota and Wisconsin and is supported by 300+ volunteer instructors. Experienced skiers and boarders are needed as volunteer instructors. All volunteers receive instruction on adaptive equipment and techniques for teaching skiers and boarders with disabilities.
You’ll have fun, make new friends, and introduce someone with a disability to the world of snow sports, an activity they probably never dreamed they could do. Our program continues to grow which means each year we place athletes on a waitlist due to lack of instructors.
Our lessons take place:
- Monday evenings at Hyland Hills 6-8PM
- Wednesday evenings at Hyland Hills 6-8PM
- Saturday mornings at Afton Alps 9:30-11:30AM
- Saturday mornings at Hyland Hills 9AM - 12:30PM
- Sunday afternoons at Trollhaugen 12:30PM-3:30PM
In addition to weekly lessons, volunteers are also needed to support clinics throughout the season. You can sign up to support weekly lessons, clinics, or both!
