Bike the Luce Line
Let’s take the Luce Line Trail for a round trip ride of a 18 miles or 26 miles if you chose that option. The Luce Line is a well marked, paved trail traveling through several park areas.
Meet hosts Mischa Hartke and Jorgenson at the Luce Line Brewing in Plymouth at 11:00. You will fine LuceLine Brewing here. At 11:30 Mischa and Darren will take us on an 8.5 miles ride towards Minneapolis to Utepils Brewing, which has a lovely outdoor area to relax, and a few good beers on tap. till 3:00 - or so.
We’ll start at the Luce Line Brewing (LLB) in Plymouth, a newer spot named after the trail itself. LLB has . We’ll ride 8.5 miles towards Minneapolis, and end at Utepils Brewing, which has a lovely outdoor area to relax, and a few good beers on tap.
We’ll take the same route to return. Along the way we will pass the Medicine Lake Trail, an 8 mile loop around the lake with some challenging hills. Riders can choose to do the loop or head straight back to LLB for a cold one (or two).
When we return (about 3:00), the LLB, with its ample indoor and outdoor areas will be well into a hearty Octoberfest celebration with food, beer and live music going until 10 pm, for a $30 entrance fee. LLB describes their Octoberfest this way:
“We pride ourselves on doing things a little differently here at Luce Line, and our Oktoberfest will be no exception. We have assembled an amazing lineup of music, food trucks, and various vendors selling food and gift items for you to take home after the event.
We are proudly partnering with Sociable Cider Werks to provide cider options and a few N/A options for those designated drivers. “
